Private editing for the moments you share.
BlurImage is a small, focused image privacy tool. It helps people hide faces, documents, license plates, and other sensitive details before an image leaves their device.
A practical privacy layer
Sharing an image often means sharing more than intended: a face in the background, a home address on a letter, a number plate in a driveway, or a private message in a screenshot. BlurImage gives you a quick way to cover those details before posting, sending, or publishing.
There is no account to create and no workflow to learn. Open the editor, choose a region, apply a soft blur or pixelation, and download at the original dimensions.
Local-first by design
BlurImage uses browser capabilities such as the File API, Canvas, and a local processing worker. Your selected image is decoded and edited on your device. The application does not need an image-processing upload endpoint to work.
What this means: your image data stays in the browser session while you edit. We do not need to receive your photos, create an account, or retain a copy of your export.
Simple tools, careful output
Soft blur
Use a smooth blur when you want an obscured area to blend into the rest of the image. The intensity slider supports subtle edits through stronger redaction.
Pixelation
Use visible mosaic blocks when you want the redacted area to be unmistakable. Pixelation is useful for screenshots, documents, and social posts.
Precision controls
Rectangle and circle selections, zoom, pan, undo, and redo make it easier to cover exactly what you intend. The editor keeps the source dimensions for export.
Useful, with honest limits
Blur and pixelation hide visual detail; they do not make an image legally anonymous in every context. If an area is small, poorly covered, or still recognizable from surrounding context, apply a stronger effect or crop the image. Always inspect the downloaded result before sharing it.
BlurImage is designed for everyday image privacy, not forensic redaction or guaranteed removal of metadata from every file format.
