Blur part of an image online without uploading it
BlurImage is a free image redaction tool that runs entirely in your browser. Select a face, license plate, address, account number, document field, or any other sensitive area, then apply a soft blur or pixelation. Your original file is processed on your device and is never transferred to BlurImage or an external image service.
Soft blur for natural results
Soft blur blends nearby pixels to obscure details while keeping the edited area visually smooth. Adjust the blur radius up to 80 pixels, use rectangle or circle selection, and zoom in when an edge needs careful placement.
Pixelation for obvious redaction
Pixelation replaces detail with larger blocks of color. It is useful when you want viewers to clearly see that an area was intentionally hidden. Increase the pixel size for a stronger mosaic effect.
Private browser processing
The editor uses your browser’s Canvas API and a local processing worker. There is no account, server upload, cloud storage, or analytics tracker. Closing the page clears the working image from the browser session.

Yes. The image blur and pixelation editor is free, requires no signup, and adds no watermark to downloaded images.
Does BlurImage upload or store my photos?
No. Image decoding, editing, undo history, and PNG export happen locally in your browser. The image data is not sent to our servers.
Can I blur multiple areas in one image?
Yes. Apply an effect to one selection, draw another selection, and repeat. You can also undo or redo the most recent effect.
Will the downloaded image keep its original size?
Yes. Zoom changes only the on-screen view. The editor keeps the canvas at the source image dimensions and exports a full-resolution PNG.
